Mecuria The Lion in Winter

Little audio much less visual material from Ellington's final full year of touring and performing has been made available commercially. A new DVD release then from the back end of that year is particularly welcome. This particular performance was recorded in glorious full colour and monophonic sound at Marni Hall, Brussels 16 November, 1973.
